• Hide format bar in Mail compose view

    From D.M. Procida@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jan 12 11:58:09 2023
As an obstinate purist I only ever send plain text email, so I have no need to see the format bar in Mail.

I finally realised all I needed to do was make sure the "Show format bar" icon was in the toolbar, and use that to remove the offending format bar. The world is slightly improved.

There is nothing wrong with that - if you want to be sure everyone can
read it, send it by the lowest common denominator. All this fancy stuff
is fine between consenting adults, but if you don't know your recipient,
    send it by plain text.

Why do you use These - " - instead of these - ' - in your signature, Liz?

You will receive HTML-based emails, however, such as from Amazon, your bank, etc etc. Some of which may require forwarding to others. What then?

My solution is to avoid dealing with Amazon or my bank. If possible,
reply to them quoting their original letter but remove some of the tags
so that it appears on their screen the same as it does on mine.
