Much like the old ones but with M2 CPUs, really - not that given a refresh only 15 months ago we should have expected anything different.

The new mini looks quite tasty though. Overlaps with the studio range

Indeed - probably the way I'll go when I replace this Intel iMac.
Still no front facing ports, though.

No specs for the 16" as yet,
specs for all models have been available since the announcement earlier today.

Yes, but the 16" one was grayed out when I wrote, available now.
What I wanted to know: still no 4K on its own display,
and up to 6K on an external one.

If it's very recently, Apple do a returns thing within 14 days (same
period as the Consumer Contracts Act mandates, but for in-store too). https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/help/returns_refund

Last December unfortunately.
I'd say that's close enough to try it on as a goodwill measure. Nothing ventured.

that's because it starts showing the 14".
switching back and forth has always been possible. it makes no sense to
only release specs for one and delay the other.

Anything bought in December was returnable until January 8, so you're only a week and a half late.
