Just wondering what people are using these days? I'm still sentimentally attached to GEDitCOM II (9.5MB download!!!), but it is looking a little elderly. Family Tree Maker and RootsMagic seem to be the most often mentioned.

Ok, I've just tried the free version of RootsMagic. What's underneath may be highly impressive for all I know, but the UI makes GEDitCOM look cutting-edge.
Eww.

Still using iFamily for Mac here. Also a bit of a relic these days, but
still gets just enough updates to keep it running on each new version of macOS.

Thanks all for the suggestions. tbh I'm coming round to thinking there's not a
lot wrong with GEDitCOM - there's even a certain charm in its OS9-ishness.
If a MacFamilyTree sale offer comes up I might give it a go, but £70 is a bit
hard to justify to myself.

I've used Reunion, in its various versions, for over 20 years and see no good reason to change now. Probably the most comprehensive packet available on the Mac.

There's now a 50% offer on both MacFamilyTree and MobileFamilyTree.
It's great to hear that you found a genealogy software that works well for you. MacFamilyTree 10 sounds like a solid choice with a slick UI and good syncing capabilities with their iOS app. Frequent sales can also be a bonus for those looking to save some money. Thanks for sharing your experience and recommendation! You can also check findings

This stuff is only going to get worse, isn't it.

scammy site.
