  • Universal clipboard/Handoff fragility

    Often, Handoff between iOS and macOS stops working, and not for any cause I
    can identify. The feature I use most is the Universal clipboard.

    And so far, I haven't found a reliable way to restore it.

    Needless to say, each device is signed in with the same Apple ID, each has is connected to the same wireless network and has Bluetooth turned on, and has Handoff enabled, and turning those settings off and on again doesn't restore the functionality.

    In a few days' time I will try it - and it'll work. I'd love it if it were all a bit more deterministic...

    Yup. Mine's been down for a week and no amount of rebooting (I'm not
    doing the signout/in dance) has helped. As you say, it'll come back soon
    with no obvious reason. Very annoying.

    Can't use Handoff/UC here so CloudClip Manager is a good free

    Perhaps they rebooted the coffee machine.
