• Disabling notification sounds on hearing aids?

    From T i m@21:1/5 to All on Sat May 6 13:12:04 2023
    Hi all,

Mum (93) seems to be getting along with her iPhone 11 (mainly for
Whatsapp) and has just recently had her Boots hearing aids sorted out
and Boots put the app on her phone.

Now she can manage the volume of the aids though the app but had to turn
the link off between iPhone and aids because the app notifications. ;-(

Would anyone with any experience of using what I think are basically
external BT speakers know if there was an easy way to turn of all
notification sounds to the external speakers alone but allowing the
phone to 'ring' in her ears please?

I'm nowhere near Mum or the phone but can relay message to her on Whatsapp.

    Cheers, T i m

What hearing aids are they? Can't the app be used to control the
hearing aids without connecting them as speakers?

Disable notifications or at least sounds, rather than disabling the
    Bluetooth connectivity.

It’s generally a poor user experience if you allow notifications on apps unless you want them.
