//It said that the job offer was withdrawn unless he made it clear that
he would ‘embrace and promote’ homosexual rights.

Felix said no but assured them that he wouldn’t discriminate. He has a
strong track record of treating all kinds of people well and has never
been accused of forcing his beliefs on anyone. The employer was
discriminating against him, by making the promotion of homosexual rights
    a condition of employment.//

Yes, very much so. Being 'a nutjob' isn't a protected characteristic and
I wouldn't trust someone who 'believed' to mow my lawn.

Sounds like they are a bit behind the times then and by 'a bit' I mean
~2500 years. And 'yes', of course I 'get' there is no room for evolution
in your fantasy world, including the evolution of empathy, compassion
    and understanding.

If someone was into some uphill gardening or rug munching, why would
you need to care, unless they forced you to join in?

I care because it is against God's law.

And we don't care about goDs law because no such thing exists for us
(where 'us' is a growing number of UK Christians).

Explaining this to heathens like you is another requirement dictated by
    God himself.
    Of course it is.

He needs to keep you on the straight and narrow, not asking questions ...

the thing that most amuses me about Our David’s current tirade is how it compares with the reason for his, ummm, early exit, from the Royal Navy.

Apparently Our David likes Big Black Men, as lomg as they’re not too old
and are under his command. (Other than that he’s not very fond of dark
folk, of any gender or age.)

Do recall Winnie Churchill’s famous statement on the RN’s traditions. Our David is quite fond of at least two of the three.

    Exits, to ‘Heart of Oak’.

Exactly what I was thinking. He must be carrying a shi*load of guilt from back then, so much so that he had to get all religious in order to offload some of it. I almost don't blame him for continuing to drink heavily.
