Is there any way to control who gets what?
Create an empty "Ian Otherguy".
Move the "Ian" images to "Ian Otherguy". [I would probably copy them,
just in case something goes iffy-shaped.]
Delete the residual "Ian" person bits.
Rename you to "Ian".
If the rename doesn't work, and I'm sure it won't, then ......
Create an "Ian" person. A new one.
Move your images to "Ian". [Again, I'd copy them, just to be safer.]
Delete "your" persona's remnants.
Or, maybe, just rename your userid? I think many MacOSsy things like
Photos like to use your userid as your "tag".
Or you could try renaming all the other "Ians", temporarily, to
"Nia", renaming your People tag to just "Ian", then renaming the
others back to "Ian", after, of course, giving the current "Ian" a
surname.
I'm certain that I could come up with several other convoluted
schemes that won't work if these don't. :)
