• Recommend an external USB DVD drive

Can you recommend an external USB DVD drive that will work satisfactorily with USB-C/an M3 Mac?

I ask because I know from experience that not all do, and I don't see any way of telling in advance.

    I´m using Samsungs T3, T5, T7.
They work fine on my M2 Macbook Air. I guess they would work on M3s too.

I´m curious: which USB-drives do not work with M3?

Oops, sorry, forget my previous answer. I missed the "DVD". Too early in
    the morning :-/

For DVDs I use Apples superdrive.

For those infrequent occasions when I need a DVD drive, I get out my trusty AmazonBasics (£10?) drive. It's USB-A but all you need is an adapter.

Be quick - the various websites are saying these are now (recently) discontinued and starting to show out of stock in most Apple Stores. I had no idea they’d hung on so long actually.

    Cheers,
