I notice it, but don't use it.
Why run an attempt at cloning MacSoup
when you can have the much better original up and running?
And it is a bit surprising: years on, and at v3, they still have longish threads in frcsmc about MacCafe and the problems with it,
(it is about the only subject there)

I do have the means of running MacSOUP and some times do just that. I
was rather hoping that MacCafé would eventually become a suitable replacement, but it sure is taking a long time it that is the intention :(

Yes.

Yes.
Some wiser one here at ukcsm (maybe it was you)
said right after they got started that using the 4D database engine
was a bad mistake, and that it would never get right.

I think it was 'nospam' that first said that but, yes, it seems he may
be right.

I did get the impression from half-reading that they have problems with
OS Sequoia because the underlying database engine has problems,
Jan
PS One of my reasons for keeping on MacSoup is having archives.
They get bloated in MacCafe.

Yes I've noticed that too.
BTW replying with MacSOUP 2.4.6 running on Mac OS 9 via SheepShaver on
my M1 MBP. OS 9 doesn't support the later versions of MacSOUP ;-(

I use it (on occasion) but it’s just a bit too much of a faff.
Mostly use NewsTap now, although I must say I’d love to use Unison or
even Hogwasher again :(
