The link at item 5.1 does NOT 'work'!

    That is not MY fault!

Correct... but it is your fault if you get stuck on this.

    I'm not "stuck on this"!

But one of America's TOP developers is making simple mistakes.

It doesn't quite ring true, Snit.

Because 'there's something wrong w/ you' -- you tend to think that
anytime you can't find your way around, the dev's (site) is up to

*YOU* know nothing about the developer either, Mike Easter! :-P

Is there a reason he should?

    *Absolutely*!

Have you actually READ the recent advice from Howard Oakley?

    Best you do!

There really are 'Bad Guys' out there!

This is the pertinent part ......

//The first time you run any new app supplied outside macOS or the App
Store, drag the app to your Applications folder and double-click it in
the Finder to open it. If it can't be launched that way, don't be
tempted to use the Finder's Open bypass, or (in Sequoia) to enable the
app in Privacy & Security settings. Instead, ask its developer why it
isn't correctly notarized. Never use an unconventional method to launch
an app: that's a giveaway that it's malicious and you shouldn't go
    anywhere near it.//

That does NOT happen with EtreCheck! Instead, I am presented with an
    end-user licence agreement to sign!

Is that as it SHOULD be?

I’d ask Howard Oakley to clarify (if I could!).
