    Same here!

    I once (and only once) used Screen Sharing -> Network -> + -> AppleID of
    remote user. The remote user has to accept the request etc. etc. But there
    are probably better ways now.

    There seems to be a more streamlined way now of doing this through iMessage, which also starts a Facetime call. I shall cautiously investigate...

    Finder menu "Go to"->"Connect to Server"-> "vnc://appleid–of-user"
    User has to accept.
    I use it quite ofte. It "just works".

    Thanks. I didn't even realise MacOS has a built-in VNC client.
