• Sequoia and Time Capsule

    From D.M. Procida@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jan 1 17:14:22 2025
Since installing 15.0.1, I am not able to mount a disk from my Time Capsule.

It can see the Time Capsule in the Finder sidebar. Time Machine seems to know about the disk and how much space is left. I can reach and manage the Time Capsule with Airport Utility, which also shows the disk.

Error when trying to connect in Finder:

There was a problem connecting to the server "Daniele's AirPort Time
Capsule". The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time.

I'll see if 15.2 improves matters.

Did this sort itself out? I got myself a de-disked Time Capsule (last revision of the flat ones) recently and popped a 14TB HDD in, and it's
been entirely reliable with 14.x and 15.x

It did, in a weird way. I couldn't do anything at all to get the disk recognised. I attached the Time Capsule in various different ways, I did the James Pondini exercises and incantations. I attached an external USB drive to it, and it happily backed up to that, but Time Machine still refused to look
    at the internal drive.

A day or two later I checked up on it and it was merrily backing up again to the internal Time Capsule disk.

Mine is the same model as yours. I think I started with a 500GB drive, I've
had a 2TB disk in it for several years.

    I bought it in 2008!
