Yes - I’m aware of how ridiculous the title is. However, it’s true. For example, this embedded video (happens on non-embedded too): <
https://electrek.co/2025/03/27/i-went-deep-into-nius-electric-moped-factory- in-china-heres-what-i-saw/>
If I start that on the Mac, it plays the real audio. If I then Airplay it to
my Apple TV...it changes to autogenerated German and there are no options to play just the unedited audio. If I then stop Airplaying, it retains the
German language when it goes back to the small screen. If I then reload the page and try again...back to the normal audio.
As mad as this sounds, I’m not the only person experiencing random switches of language. It’s annoying because it’s effectively killed a lot of the videos I’d like to watch - for example, those on the Fully Charged Show/Everything Electric are particularly susceptible it seems. This article here shows it and there are many if you search: <
https://7labs.io/article/change-youtube-dubbed-audio.html>
...however their suggested fix doesn’t work for me, as there is no “Audio track” setting available.
This is frustrating as hell - it’s stopping me from watching a lot of
stuff. Anyone else seeing similar?
