articles they would have disappeared from the display, next time you loaded >>> the group.
You could also (very valuable) Mark a whole group as read, and all 99,999 >>> articles disappeared, so that you could take up the group again with a clean
start. No dout Usenapp can do these things, but I'm blowed if I even know >>> where to look (partly because the terminology is different too.

My limited experience with this sort of thing is that if you don't write something down at the outset and then build it as you go along, you're lost.
