• Apple TV with iPlayer subtitles

    I don't have an Apple TV, and one reason is because iPlayer doesn't support subtitles. The BBC continues to give endless prevaricatory excuses why

    It turns out somebody got fed up enough to make their own iPlayer app that includes subtitles:

    Not really a practical proposition (it's not in the store so you need a developer account), but I thought it was neat nonetheless.

    Now, if Apple would allow sideloading...

    Note that one does not have join the full developer program, which is NOT
    free, just to download the basic development tools.
