• Start up sound with Monterey

From Peter James@21:1/5 to All on Wed Jun 8 05:53:10 2022
My iMac running macOS Monterey v12,4 seems to have lost the start up sound. That's a bit of a nuisance when using bootcamp and W10.
Any way to get it back?

You may need to reset the PRAM and SMC. This article explains how to do
this and discusses reasons why you may have lost the sound in the first
    place.

Should have mentioned I don’t think you need to download and install the GitHub script the article refers to! Ensure your volume level is not zero
and then reset the PRAM etc.

    Many thanks, that fixed it.

Excellent! I’ve seen some admittedly old articles stating that Bootcamp may sometimes upset certain settings held in the PRAM which shows up when
    booting back into macOS.
