• Viable: new VM App

From Alan B@21:1/5 to All on Sat Jul 16 08:55:11 2022
i've recently downloaded Viable from Howard Oakley's site and created
a VM running macOS 12.4. There are a few issues to overcome and I hope
I've provided some useful feedback to Howard - details here:

    <https://eclecticlight.co/2022/07/14/introducing-viable-to-virtualise-macos-on-apple-silicon-macs/>

I had particular problems when the app crashed downloading the large ipsw
file. But, eh, it's beta software, so anything goes ;)

There are times when his idiocy is just too much and I post something. Our David is, simply, vile. And needs kicking. Hard. And often.

there are far more effective solutions, with a lot less effort than
    kicking, and work instantly.

    I would second that.

He seems to have a Boris complex; no one wants his presence let alone his
input and yet he persists in hanging around like a fart in a phone box.

I find your comments most offensive.

Boris is likely to be reinstated as the Conservative party leader when
    we declare war on Russia.

    Indeed.

So I've now got a Ventura Beta VM running under Viable beta running on
    Ventura Beta ;) Beta that!

screens. I’m also looking forward to running Viable Linux VMs on Ventura systems.

Using my M1 Mac running Ventura b5, I’ve created the 2 VMs as per HO’s instructions plus another based on Ubuntu 22.04 Server arm64. A few
oddities as HO has mentioned previously and I’ll provide him with some feedback in due course when I’ve used the app and VMs a bit more.
