I get it. It's the angle of the camera. Is the photographer on top or
below? I'd have to know to tell which way the cat is clawing! Or maybe I do
not get it, if I want optical illusions; I'd just brew some Ayahuasca.

Yep, that's the idea alright. Little to no visual information as to orientation. It's like calling a movie a 'mystery' because they
withheld all information up until the butler confesses.

They need a better suited staircase in order to pull this one off. :)

The 'let's stick out there and trip them' feature is usually made to
trip them going up the stairs rather than down. Probably too many
lawsuits. Sure, it could be staged, with special 'let's stick out there
and trip them' down steps, but I'm not buying it.

As always, I think that *YOU* are incredibly stupid.

This is 7 and a half years old. It was stupid and obvious when I first saw
it. The fact that *YOU* just found this and find it a challenge is just further evidence of how stupid and behind the times *YOU* are.
