• Simple replacement for GDocs?

From Mark@21:1/5 to All on Wed Sep 7 12:19:02 2022
I work with 2 other people remotely on a series of text boxes (https://imgur.com/a/BbPgOQW). There are usually a dozen or more on
each doc. Each of us fills in some of the text. GDocs is a bit of a
pain to use... Any simple online alternatives? We're a mix of Mac/PC
    but I doubt that matters.

Dunno if any of these are any good?

Thanks for that. I think I've seen that list before (on anther website
though). I think we need something a little... less. Literally
something like a Word doc with text boxes we can all edit online.
Nothing further needed, except maybe being able to view previous pages
when a new one is created.

Errm, use Word? One of you needs a Microsoft 365 account, the rest can
    be invited.

Tried doing that with SWMBO on another machine and it seems to work fine :)

I don't think I'd describe that as a "simple" solution compared to gdocs.
    Just differently complex ;)

    :-)

A trusted source tells me that, apparently, if you sign up for Microsoft
365 you get offered an extra month for free if you agree to
auto-renewal. You can then turn off autorenewal in account settings and
then get another month for free for agreeing to auto renew. Rinse and
repeat. Said source claims to have managed 8 months extra before it
stopped offering. I didn't ask how long you had to wait between turning
it off and getting the offer again, so it might be minutes or days.
