Since it doesn't show Monterey or Ventura, and the site is fucked, we can safely ignore this (I would have done anyway).

You sound like these Yankee fundies who, on finding something a bit interesting in nature, bleat on about how this shows that "Darwin is in trouble".

As I just told David, they will have lumped all Mac OS into "OSX" and all versions of Windows into "Windows".

Just because Apple choose to use silly little childish girly names for their versions doesn't make them a different OS.

currently, apple is valued at about $2.4 trillion, the highest market

What a total load of bullshit.

As with all trolls, you know nothing of what you troll about. You should actually use an iPhone for a while before making up absurd lies about the “incompatible Bluetooth”. I have no trouble connecting to anything.

I have Android, my Aunt has Iphone. They DO NOT connect. I googled it, you have to install a special app on both to translate. This is an undeniable fact backed up by a simple google search.

I have Macs, Windows and the occasional Linux box here. They all talk to each other.

With difficulty. The older macs were even worse with that resource fork shit on every file. Store mac file on PC, copy it back, can't open it. Doh! We had to install special software on the PC servers to let the Macs understand them.

MacOS and iOS are Unix. Unix/Linux runs on everything from mainframes to
PCs to all phones, tablets and watches. Because Unix is portable and modular.

    And useless shit for geeks.

The “incompatible” part is Windows. Which is - as we speak - losing market
share. Because it is neither portable nor modular.

It's the most common, therefore anyone not compatible with it is their fault, not Windows.

If two things do not speak to each other, the only reason you can say one is incompatible is because it's the least common. Say there are 100 engineers in a room, 80 of them decide to do something one way, 20 decide another way. If you want to make all
their work compatible, you change the 20 not the 80.

Windows will alway win, because Windows runs on any piece of hardware. MacOS only runs (apart from when I Hackintosh it) on Apple hardware. So that's one company versus a hundred. Are Apple going to beat Dell and every other PC hardware maker in the

nope. windows breaks industry standards to lock-in users.

one of the most notable examples was internet explorer, which had
proprietary extensions to html that only worked with their servers.

another example was wma/wmv, microsoft proprietary media formats, which
they refused to license to others. the formats were eventually reverse engineered but not perfectly.

Dying, yet has the biggest market share and always has. It runs on any computer, MacOS only runs on Macs.

I also see more Macs (Unix again) on desks where I work then ever before.

Some business owners are clueless. I delieghted in converting two companies from Mac to PC. Guess what, they loved it! Easier to use, far more intuitive, compatible with the rest of the world, and half the cost!

So that's one company versus a hundred. Are Apple going to beat Dell and
every other PC hardware maker in the world? Not a chance.

Apple is already beating most PC vendors. Apple is now in 3rd place (or
4th depending on whose numbers you believe). Try keeping up so you are not spouting 20 year old “facts”.

Apple is one, the other vendors are many. If it beats one, it has not won.

    Windows already lost. Unix won.

Windows only runs on PCs. Unix runs on
everything from mainframes to watches and everything in between.

Even MS Azure is 70% Linux. Windows is dying. Why do you suppose that Microsoft is desperately trying to prop up Windows by giving it the ability to run Linux and Android apps? They can see where everything is going.

An Iphone can't run black hole searches, an Android can, even a full Apple desktop won't run it yet Windows can: https://universeathome.pl/universe/apps.php

Why change the OS so programmers have to redesign? Stop reinventing the wheel. Use Windows or Linux on your Apples, don't make a third OS! In fact none of the above have managed to get an Iphone to run their programs at all. Apple's shitty OS
prevents it. Maybe an Iphone would burn out if it did calculations 24/7 on all cores like my Androids do. Why buy an overpriced phone and not make full use of it? It's sat on your desk idling! All that processing power wasted. Maybe the battery
would go flat? My Aunt's Iphone has the same specs and same battery size as my Android, yet her battery drained at twice the speed when we went out taking photos, despite me taking 3 times the photos she did.

    yawn. no device runs everything.

android devices can't run a bunch of stuff ios can. windows can't run a
bunch of stuff macs can run.

plus the apps you list run on windows and mac, where it's better suited
since it is something stays running. doing that on a phone is just
    dumb.

Why change the OS so programmers have to redesign?

you've clearly never written an app, for any platform.

    Stop reinventing the
wheel. Use Windows or Linux on your Apples, don't make a third OS!

tell that to google. although android uses a linux kernel, it does
*not* use linux apis for apps.

windows apps have to be updated for newer versions. there's a lot of
new stuff in win 10 than there was in xp and 7.

    In fact
none of the above have managed to get an Iphone to run their programs at all. Apple's shitty OS prevents it.

nope. nothing apple has done prevents any of the apps you listed from
    working on an ios device.

the decision is entirely up to developers to write an ios version, and
since there is a mac os version, there should be minimal effort for
creating an ios version. in fact, it's easy to write an app to run on
    both mac *and* ios.

Maybe an Iphone would burn out if it did
calculations 24/7 on all cores like my Androids do.

likely not. you have previously stated you buy cheap noname android
    phones.

Quite right. How about you go back in time and tell that to Microsoft in the late 80s, so that they just copy macOS as it was then rather than releasing joke versions of Windows for the next 10 years.

and then jump ahead and tell google to just copy ios rather than create android.

TBF, that was what they *tried* to do.

Windows produced the taskbar and start menu first, perfectly. What came later from both sides was shit.

Businesses only need to worry about their market share when they rely on market share to make a profit.
You don't see companies like lamborghini, Porsche, Ferrari, cartier, Gucci and Hermès (hand bags) , louis vuitton running around panicking that they haven't got 50%+ market share.
