Amazon "Success"

On 8th December 2024 my Xmas present to myself was "delivered" by Amazon,
an Nvidia TV Shield Pro.
The courier walked up my drive, empty handed, got to the front door turned round and walked back to his van. I called out so he went to the back of
the van, got out the package, asked for a password, then handed the
package to me and drove off.
When I got back in I had an email from Amazon saying I hadn't answered the
door so they hadn't delivered the parcel.
I got on to their chat system and had a good old moan, they had no understanding what the issue was but in the end said they would sort it
out. Since then I have had weekly requests to update my delivery
instructions. I go annoyed enough to have yet another futile chat with
them, again they said they would sort it and I continued to receive
requests to update my delivery instructions.
Today, after yet another such request, I decided to fix it, I have a
chocolate hangover and was in the right frame of mind, so got back on
their chat system.
I spoke to and explained the issue eight times to eight different people I
was handed off to each of whom said they needed a couple of minutes to
read the earlier chat. In the end it was obvious I was being given the run-around and they had no idea what to do. I said if they didn't give me
a valid email address to write to I would write to their head office in
London and send them the screen shots of the chat.
Adviser no. 9 appeared. He said he would refund the order and I could keep
or dispose of the various items (just under £200 in all).
He clearly didn't understand either but enough was enough so I said OK and
they have credited my account.
A complete waste of my time and theirs, doesn't recognise the issue let
alone fix it but £200 is £200.
