What happened to the Great Debate? I was told that it would be held on January 6, and I would receive a video and and a transcript. But I
have heard nothing.
Was it cancelled, so it never happened?

Ah-ha, here it is. So much for them sending me the result. I now have
some reading to do. <https://hansard.parliament.uk/commons/2025-01-06/debates/7132F58B-DE05-4912-8BFC-67F310B55911/GeneralElection>
Anyway the news has been overtaken by Reeves and Milliband's disastrous policies now forcing us towards recession.
And Reform now neck and neck with Labour and ahead of the Tories.

Smile, it could get worse. :)
This is how we do things in this country, have a great charade of a
debate, ponce around with stupid comments like "Will my hon. Friend give way?" and "I give way to my hon. Friend with the greatest pleasure." and
"My hon. Friend has my gratitude." then effectively tell the electorate
to F off.

And you winder why Reform are soaring in the polls...

I can see we're gonna need another Maggie to put the unions back in
their box (and then take the box to the Tip). That won't happen until
the shit really hits the fan, as was the case in 1979 with the winter
of discontent bollocks. Still, this lot have started well in terms of
getting to that point, and with the unions behaving like all
blackmailers do (that is, threatening to come back for more),
hopefully it shouldn't take too long.
I hadn't realised that the RMT are just like the print unions used to
be, until I had a chat with someone (retired now) who was a steward
on one of the cross-channel ferries. Then I understood why that
little contretemps at Dover occurred, and how right P&O was to do it.
