    It turns out Bob Eager asked the original question. 18 years ago. And
    someone from HoH woke it up again 10 years after that...

    Is 18 years an HoH record?

    Incidentally caustic soda won't get rid of everything. Sometimes you
    need some sort of acid - scale is the best example - and some things
    neither will touch.

    I had forgotten I ever asked it!

    That would be the washing machine before the last one. We now have a
    Bosch.
