Hello, where you get the control board from. I’ve replaced the solenoid and the element internals and the tap continues to flow. I’m guessing something in the red lid has failed as well?

Are these products safe? I looked once and decided they did not pass
my 'risk assessment' as a guest or inattentive householder could put
their hand under the tap and risk scalding.

    Hmm.
We in the 5th. year of using ours. Youngest Grandchild just 7 with no
    incidents so far.
From purchasing spares I realise there are many versions available. The *child* safety device on ours could be better. A plastic peg prevents
the tap being rotated without first being pressed down. This is not very reliable as it can be overridden by by a strong untrained person.

Possibly not a good safety device if you get pissed occasionally :)

I'm a seriously boring old fart! The only time I was noticeably drunk, I
fell off my bicycle on the way home.
Age 17 after accepting a challenge to drink a pint of scrumpy at my
friend's father's pub. To this day, I believe he topped it up with
    something from an optic!

It’s impossible to “accidentally” turn on the boiling water in the Quooker.
You have to give the valve a “double wank” followed by a twist to release the boiling water.

Other brands aren’t quite so secure but are “safe enough” IMO.

No idea, it was 6 years ago! The part I ordered is unlikely to be the same
part as used in newer Quookers. Just ask Quooker.

It’s not boiling under pressure. The pressure is stopping it boiling.
