• Energy Bill

From Jeff Gaines@21:1/5 to All on Sat Apr 26 12:35:42 2025
I sold my previous house last November and have today received the final
    energy bill from E-on.

It details my electricity costs from 2023 onwards and ends up with their
owing me £0.01 which they will credit to my bank account by 12th May 2025.

    Wow, drinks on me chaps.

Very tiny ones, presumably. That won't even get you a drink in a
    Wetherspoon.

SWMBO once got a cheque by first-class post for 1p when she closed a
    Santander account.

Tell them to donate it to charity. That will probably consume more
energy than sending the original message did. If they don't deliver the
1p, make sure to charge them cumulative interest.
