    The belts are slack.

The only European source I could find was Thakker in Germany but their checkout does not include the UK! Has anyone any knowledge of a local
    source?

You can/could get Thakker belts on Amazon - and eBay as well. Maybe
    email them?

Measure the dimensions of the belt and look for somebody selling that size? Assuming you can work out what the un-slack size is likely to be.
The Thakker listing may give some clues.

Another win for Brexit keeping these dirty foreign products out of our
    country.

Wasn't there a fix for slack belts to put them in boiling water for a bit?

Long time ago, short memory etc.

    Cheers

Well, the player was built 50 years ago by Matsushita in Japan.
You are right about Brexit, Thakker said their system is not yet ready
    to handle pounds.

One might point out that we were always using Pounds, even as an EU
    member state.

Another win for people who attribute all problems to either:

    a) Brexit
    b) Putin
    c) Trump or
    d) Global warming

Did you point out that Euros still exist, just as they did before brexit?
