• Worktop/wall edging strip - recommendations please

From Chris Green@21:1/5 to All on Wed May 7 12:28:09 2025
I'm spring cleaning our wooden worktops, they're in surprisingly good
condition considering the abuse they get. A quick rub down with a
scouring pad and a couple of coats of Danish Oil is all they seem to
    need.

However the wooden quadrant at the back is tatty and I want to replace
it. It's currently about a 10mm radius quadrant and I want something
around the same sort of size, maybe a fraction bigger. Something nice
and easy and self-adhesive would be nice, but it needs to be
    beige[ish] rather than white.

Any recommendations anyone? If I have to I will simply replace with a
new wood quadrant but I'm hoping there may be something easier and/or
    better available.

    Not entirely serious, but:
    https://www.d-line-it.com/quarter-round-trunking/

comes in 22mm 'light oak-effect' and 'stainable' wood-grain versions.
    Self adhesive backing.

Bonus points that you can run some wires in it :-)

In my experience anything that is "self adhesive" with regards to trim
the glue fails in a few years - and without a sealant water will get
    between the two surfaces.

Water will get there regardless of sealant, I prefer making sure that
the space can dry out properly if it does get wet. It has worked
pretty well that way for 20 years or so.
