• OT: Chatbot or person?

From Davey@21:1/5 to All on Thu Jul 17 10:47:46 2025
I contacted my bank using Online Banking Chat, and after a chatbot had
fielded my question, I was passed to a person, 'Sumitra'.

    "Good Morning, {my surname}.

    Sorry for the inn convince.

Please allow me sometime to pull out your details. Please stay
    connected."

'Sumitra' speaks more like a chatbot than the chatbot did!

Several times, I had to confirm that I wished to stay on the chat, as
the bank wanted to disconnect me for lack of action.

The banks are being allowed to do just as they please and no one from
any political party is doing the slightest thing to rein them in.
They're getting *everything* the way they want it and the customer can
    go fuck themselves.
