It's possible these days via technological wizardry to:

    1. From voice samples (e.g. surreptitious recordings) get an AI to
synthesize an identical voice from a script an imposter writes

    2. From still pictures and/or video images, get an AI to produce a video
clip of someone saying something they did not

    3. Do 1 or 2 in real time via AI and powerful hardware

So the question is, how will banks, the police, courts and anyone else
who cares about truth/falsehood be able to know what is truth in the AI era?

The BBC TV fictional series The Capture (two seasons, a third in prospect,
none currently available on iPlayer), although written before AI burst onto
the scene, explores some of the issues surrounding the manipulation of the perception of events.

Do they care about the truth ? I'm not convinced they are. They are
certainly obsessed with results. But (as we all know) these have only a
    passing connection with reality.

res ipsos loquitor - never fails.

Yes they *say* they care. Their actions say other.
