    Well I found the Australian sifi serieshttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Stranger_(Australian_TV_series)


    ......but can't find the children time travelers....any chance of
    finding this book then.....An American drives into a small town at the
    dead of night and he thinks nobody will be around so he speeds on
    through but gets pulled over by the cops and ends up as the towns barbeque....any ideas? 1960's again....'he shifted his heavy frame in
    the seat of the Ford'
