I'm down with the Wigtown Club at the Mull of Galloway Light. Listen out
for GB2LG over the weekend. The main bands are 80, 40, 20 and 2m.

Working the Sandettie Lightvessel - TM59LH - of BBC Shipping Forecast fame was the highlight of the weekend for me.

Very good. We had about 250 contacts, many with lighthouses and
lightships of course. I was still working pile ups on 40m when we had
to pull the plug. The lighthouse tower closed to visitors at 4.30pm and
we had to unhook the sloping trap dipole from the balcony at the top by
then. It was a good antenna and a very quiet location. I worked 3 on CW
, but I'm not used to this Short Wave stuff.

To err is human. To really foul things up requires a computer and the BOFH.

Sorry - slow news day, even in uk.legal.moderated and The Shed.
