I have a rather ancient carburettor that had some water in the float
chamber and is in poor condition.
I presume this is a zinc type alloy and would like to remove all of the
zinc oxide in the easiest manner possible, also from difficult to get at internal galleries.
Can anyone recommend solutions, such as dilute acid or alternative that
will simply dissolve the zinc oxide but leave the zinc alloy alone?
