  • Teen has off-road bike seized and sent to crusher after trying to flee

    On Sunday, May 14, officers from the Heanor Safer Neighbourhood Team and Derbyshire Police Off-Road Bike Team were on patrol to combat anti-social bikers in the town.

    In a tweet, the Bike Team said: “Illegal off-road bike makes off from us, then rider doesn't want to hang about. Foot chase with rider, but won't stop the inevitable. Seized – recovery for one and crusher on standby.”

    A Heanor SNT spokesperson said: “We stopped a 15-year-old on a non-road legal bike. He had no licence, no insurance, no helmet, no registration. Now, as a result of this, he has no bike either. He was dealt with for the offences and will have his day
    in court to explain his actions.

    “We have also engaged with other bikers throughout the day as we patrolled hotspots in the area giving advice on where they can legally go off road and about bike safety.

    “As the weather gets warmer we ask parents to make sure they know what their children are doing when out and to ensure they know the legalities and dangers of off-road motorbikes.”

    Of course, and in other words, that means that he is fit for nothing at
    all except fairy-cycling, doesn't it?

    So he is just a fairy-cyclist.
