• UK 25% safer for cyclists than Holland

From Spike@21:1/5 to All on Fri Jul 14 12:02:17 2023
UK: 22 deaths per bn miles cycled

Holland: 29 deaths per bn miles cycled

So why do we want to follow the Dutch model?

If the 1 in 6 of cyclists that are killed in single-vehicle accidents are excluded, the UK death rate would be about 14 per bn miles,

    Note

    - UK data is for 2022

    - Dutch data: deaths 2022, miles cycled 2021
