Cyclist in crash confirmed as campaign group chair

The chairwoman of a cycling campaign group has been confirmed as the
cyclist involved in a serious crash with a coach last week.
Alison Hill, chairwoman of the Cyclox group - 'the voice of cycling in
Oxford' - was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital last week after a crash while cycling.
The incident happened between herself and a white Volvo coach at the
junction of Park Road and Banbury Road at around 3.35pm on October 25.
Banbury Road was closed in both directions from Parks Road to St Giles for
a couple of hours due to the crash.

Following the incident, police said that the cyclist had been taken to
hospital with a serious injury to her leg where she remained in a stable condition.
Ms Hill, who is in her 70s, previously wrote a cycling column for the
Oxford Mail under the heading 'On yer bike'.
