A man has been arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit due to drugs after a collision in Market Harborough saw a woman in her 50s knocked off her bike. The woman was taken to hospital but her injuries were not thought to be life-changing nor life-
threatening, said police.
The woman had been cycling along Roman Way in the town when the incident happened, at about 9am this morning (Thursday). A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said: "We were called to a report of a collision involving a car and a cyclist in Roman Way
just after 9am.
"The cyclist, who is in her 50s, was taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfit through drugs and remains in custody."
