• Herefordshire drivers fined by magistrates for speeding

    Murphy Tait entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding when he appeared before magistrates in Worcester.

    The court heard that the 26-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a BMW in a 40 miles per hour zone on the A438 at Swainshill in Herefordshire on April 8.

    Tait, of Highmore Street, Hereford, was fined £421 and received four penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £168 victim surcharge.

    Anna Zarebska entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Bath.

    The court heard that the 43-year-old driver had been caught speeding in a 30 miles per hour zone on the A369 Rownham Hill in Bristol on March 13.

    Zarebska, of Richmond Street, Hereford, was fined £115 and received three penalty points. She must also pay prosecution costs of £90 and a £46 victim surcharge.

    Stephen John Lewis entered a guilty plea to one count of speeding to magistrates in Bath.

    The court heard that the 53-year-old had been caught breaking the limit while behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Golf in a 30 miles per hour zone in Newport Road in Cardiff on August 11.

    Lewis, of Llanwrithy Road, Llangrove, was fined £223 and received three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £90 and an £89 victim surcharge
