A MAN who drove with cocaine in his system has been banned from the road for a year and hit with a heavy fine.

Connor Osborne, of Singleton Avenue, Blackbrook, appeared before Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on December 13.

The 26-year-old defendant changed his plea to drug driving to guilty, having previously denied the offence.

On February 19 this year, at Singleton Avenue, Osborne drove a motor vehicle when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely cocaine, in his blood, exceeded the specified limit.

He was fined £1,000, made to pay a £1,000 surcharge to fund victim services and pay costs of £400 to the Crown Prosecution Service.

He was also disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months.

Osborne was given no separate penalty for the separate count of having benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in his system while driving.

Advised to fess up by his Mr Arsehole to get a reduced sentence, no doubt.

    Didn't work:

He must have got the chav-bike by now.

Otherwise he'll be depending on buses.
