A DRIVER was fined and had to pay costs of over £1,000 and received five points on their licence after being found guilty of driving 48mpn in 30mph zone on a busy Bradford road.
Officers from the Steerside Enforcement Team were in court today and spoke about the driver's punishment after being caught for the offence on Manchester Road in Bradford.
In a post on Facebook, the Steerside Enforcement Team wrote: "One of our officers has been at court today in relation to a speeding offence from last year; 48mph in a 30mph zone on Manchester Road.
"The driver was found guilty, five points and over £1,200 in fines and costs."

The Steerside Enforcement Team were also on Sir Fred Hoyle Way in Bingley today, where they stopped a car for a document check.
In a post on Facebook, the Steerside officers found the vehicle to have been uninsured since November.

Was the *driver* insured by a policy which did not refer to the vehicle?

The car was seized and the driver reported for the offence.

How do you know that an offence had been committed? Has the driver
    somehow pleaded guilty already?

Many, if not most, people who hold driving licences have insurance which
allows them to drive vehicles belonging to others.

I could drive your Saab on my insurance.

But I wouldn't, because it's probably in a dangerous condition, as you
have admitted more than once that you don't like spending money on
    maintenance and repairs. Haven't you?

What's the connection between this non-chav-cycle story and chav-cycles
    or chav-cyclists?
