Hello All,
I'm being tempted by an ASUS laptop - ASUS-Vivobook-M3407HA - and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with Debian and this product? It is supplied with Windows 11 pre-installed and I look forward to eliminating
that infection.
Many thanks in advance.

Wallet voting does do that.
Contact the hardware vendor, tell them you have money, tell them what
you want, tell them what you don't need and surely not want to pay
for. Spend your money wisely.

No. I'll be buying on-line, sight unseen, hence my specific query
about ASUS. If there was a reliable computer vendor within 10 miles I
would obviously go and test various machines for compatibility with a
Trixie stick, but there isn't.
Normally I would go Dell, or HP but I've picked up some negatives on
this list, hence the query about ASUS.
There are also Linux specific hardware vendors such as https://
system76.com/ .
If they had an outlet in the UK I would investigate them, but...

I doubt that most vendors can actually get hold of
Windows-free machines.

Since you're in the UK you have the right to return an unsuitable
product (or any product!). Tell the vendor in advance that you want to install Debian and maybe they'll test it for you.
